Purr & Pour Cat Café simply opened its doorways this previous June in Georgetown, South Carolina. Its imaginative and prescient is a giant one: a Georgetown County free from the overpopulation of non-altered feral and homeless cats as a result of they’ve discovered loving ceaselessly houses.
The café — the dream of PURRprietor Patricia Devine-Harms — will get its 12 to 15 live-in cats from the Saint Frances Animal Heart (SFAC). We wish to showcase our cats’ personalities to allow them to heal from earlier trauma and discover loving, FURever houses. Equally vital is our group outreach. Purr & Pour supplies group enrichment by internet hosting respite and academic outings for veterans, college teams, trauma survivors and different nonprofits.”
Patricia’s personal cat Mr. Biscuit spent two years in a no-kill shelter, and Patricia sayshe is a part of the inspiration for Purr & Pour. “Plus, I wished to take what I knew from group advocacy (combating human trafficking, empowering home violence survivors and serving to foster youth) and switch these expertise to convey Cats + Espresso + Kindness to the group.”
